Searching..
I'm searching for a job... yup. A J-O-B. Ugh.
I've been applying and applying and searching. Nada. Nothing. Blah.
I do have a temporary company that contacted me. We'll see if they bring something to the table for me. Time will tell, I guess.

Spring Cleaning...
Okay... motivation is starting to come to me!I actually cleaned out all of my email boxes. Yes... it was a tough thing to do... considering how many I have! I've labeled and archived things and added things to my delicious account where I could.
Now I just have to get the motivation to work on the house... it's coming... I can feel it! Especially since dumpster diving is a mere 6 weeks away! There is a ton of stuff that's got to go and there is a ton that needs to get ready for our annual garage sale. It's time to purge... I'll attempt pictures when it starts... I highly doubted you wanted to see my inboxes :)
I'm getting the bug at work too to revamp my living quarters so that's how I know the Spring Cleaning Bug is floating around!

Two weeks... wowsers!
So it looks like I took yet again another break from this here blog. Sorry my followers... if there are any out there! Let's see... what did I do in the past two weeks... hummmm....
I was off most of the week of Christmas... Tuesday I worked from home, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I was on PTO. We didn't do much with our time off... honestly. I didn't put a tree up. I didn't decorate for Christmas. Heck I barely got the few gifts that I bought wrapped. I just wasn't in it this year. I don't know why... I don't know how. I did manage to make MORE candy. Yeah... that became an issue too... a huge breakout from all the chocolate. Aren't I 31? Should that still be effecting me? I guess it does :(
We didn't do much for Christmas Eve - except a fantastic dinner of Lobster tails! YUM.
Christmas day we grilled up some T Bone steaks, bake potatoes and salads. Another delicious meal. Probably my favorite. And please, pass me a full bottle of A1.
Of course the day after Christmas I went out shopping. I purchased a mini tree (3 feet tall) at Kohl's for $8. So, next year... I have to put up a tree. If I didn't I would be stupid. Especially since it is pre-light.
I bought clothes for myself, you know I'm still trying to build my winter wardrobe back up from the flood. The other highlight is that we purchased a Play Station 2. Yes, I know... not a Wii. Not even a PS3. I know. But, for way under $200 we got the game system, two guitars, and a few games. We can now rock out guitar hero style in our own home. And I must admit... I'm addicted. A little too much for Jerome's liking. So much so that I managed to go through all GH3 on easy. Now I have to work up to the next harder level. It will take practice... but next time you're here... GAME ON!
Let's see... that next Monday and Tuesday I came back into the office and then was off for the next three! Goodness I love holidays and PTO time! We cleaned up the house and had a few people over on New Year's Eve for a mini celebration. One fella in particular was amazed that we had free alcohol. Yeah.... well... it is a party at the Thompson's... that's what we do. And we expect that you won't just stand at the table with all the bottles taste testing each and every kind. We expect you make yourself a good drink... sit down... chat... eat... drink... and get up and make yourself another drink damn it. Next time you are here... DRINK A DAMN DRINK!
Friday I hopped into the office - or more specifically the parking lot of the office and got the pager. Why our team has a pager, I'm not quite sure still. But... it was my weekend to have pager duty... basically every other weekend I will have it. Trading off with Josh... which reminds me... we should probably figure out what we are going to do once his wife Molly has baby #3 and he takes leave. Ugh... I do not want it each and every weekend. No... I won't do it. Someone else has got to join me. Thankfully we don't have to have it during the week. We leave that duty to the new girl Kate!
I picked up a few more super deals at Target this weekend, especially since their Christmas items are 90% off... yeah you heard that right... 90% off! Crazy. I loved every bit of it.
Okay... so here's a new years resolution.... I will blog at least once a week. I will. It's a resolution... I have to do it... I will. I can. I will. Get on me if I don't!

Trip in review
The day started off not like any other. At 12:01 am I was wide awake thinking of all the things that I did or didn’t do yet and if I forgot something or needed to remove something to lighten the load. I stayed awake debating on if I should just get up and go check the luggage or stay in bed and make myself go to sleep.
I opted for staying in bed because I had just finished painting my toes in a bright shade of pink and didn’t want to have to redo them. I tossed and turned. Jerome was snoring away.
I’m not sure when I feel asleep but I suddenly woke up to find Jerome with Pork Chop outside. He came inside the house and cooked himself an egg and a bagel and I did the same for myself. Jerome left for work, Pork Chop went back in his crate and I went back to bed.
I was awaken by my alarm clock, jumped up and headed for the shower. I let Pork Chop out one last time, scooted him back to his crate and gave him a treat.
I ended up leaving early and was to work all too early. So early that Richard asked me if I came in early just because of the move. (Our team moved from one floor to another yesterday – but our computers and boxes never made it to our new floor by the time I left yesterday.) Ughhh I hate it when people notice what time I come and go!
I set up my desk to my liking. Putting up pictures and notes, my white board and posters. Everything was just right. I notice it was almost 1pm when I looked up. I had planned to leave at 1:30… but that didn’t happen… 2pm I was out of there. Wishing everyone a great holiday weekend.
I went home, checked the mail and gathered Pork Chops baggage. We were off to drop him off at the Puppy Hotel – his vet and also place where his puppy class was held. Pork Chop is spending a week at the puppy hotel and suite where he will be pampered beyond recognition I would guess. Thankfully the tech told me to call any time I wanted to check in on him. Poor guy… momma misses you!
Then it was off to the grocery store to purchase a bag of ice for the cooler and cash a check that came in the mail the day before for Pampered Chef. Back home I went. I carried all the bags into the garage when I noticed our neighbor across the street leaving. I went to the end of the drive to let her know that we would be out of town to watch over the place and call me if anything goes wrong. She of course said she would.
Then the wait began. I was waiting for Jerome to show up with our rented Mini Van to haul us away… us being the two of us, PST, JST and Tinker. Yup, all of us are heading out of town to Mississippi for his family reunion. This will be Tinkers first extra long trip and first time down South.
When the girls arrived I took a look at both of their extra large suitcases and wondered what could possibly inside of them. Were they packed correctly? Would they all fit? These were all good questions.
I started loading the van, first the pack and play for Tinker, then PST hard sided suitcase that I got her for her graduation a few years ago and then Jerome and my carryon rolly suitcases. JST’s wasn’t fitting. Ughhhh. It was so large and flat vs. wide. We ended up switching out her bag for one of our other ones… everything fit just fine – even though I’m sure she’s upset that we just tossed her stuff into the new fitting suitcase.
And we’re off. I was driving, Jerome was shotgun. Behind me was Tinker and behind Jerome was JST. In the way back was PST and the cooler. We turned back around before we even were a block away double checking to see if the door was locked.
We stopped at Stout to fill our bellies on Wendy’s and stretch our legs. Back into the van we were loosing daylight. I drove until about 10pm when I decided that I should get my night vision checked and we were at a ½ a tank of gas!
Oh… I didn’t tell you… the Mini Van that we picked up had 15 miles on it when we left… yup… BRAND NEW! It even has a DVD player in it for watching movies which everyone did while I was driving for the most part, until everyone fell asleep. It’s funny because I called it a movie on tape since they were watching movies that I hadn’t seen yet and I was making up my own pictures in my head of what was going on.
Anyways… back to the switch. We stopped at a gas station to top off the gas and empty bladders and garbage from the van. Jerome started the drive and I became the co pilot. We were good to go… until we remembered that we didn’t bring any change for the tolls. Shoot. Thank goodness PST knew that her pop would forget the change and brought some with her. The girls fell back to sleep and Jerome and I chatted.
I made us ham and turkey sandwiches with tomatoes and cheese from stuff that I knew wouldn’t last at home. It started to rain… and then we got sleepy. We pulled over to a rest area to go to the bathroom and maybe take a snooze. But since it was still raining when we came back from the bathroom we both felt pretty revived… but then again became sleepy.
It’s time to pull over… and since I’m writing this in the van as we drive it’s 2 miles to the next rest stop where we will be stopping for a brief nap. We’re about 70 miles away from St. Louis.

Happy Holidays...
So last Thursday Jerome and I had the cutest little company. Tink came to our house for the night while her momma went on a date. It was fun to play with her all night long, we even did a little photo shoot. She slept like a log till about 3:30am. She woke up kicking in the bassinet. Jerome brought her into bed and she fell right back to sleep till about 7am.
Her mom, JST, called at about 8:3o am the next day - Friday morning. I guess Jerome told her that we would bring Tink back to her at 8am. Needless to say Momma was missing her baby :) She and PST came to our house to pick her up instead of waiting for us to finish breakfast and get dressed and then drive over that way.
Once they left Jerome and I drove to Minneapolis. I know, I know... I'm naughty. I should have done this a long long time ago... like a year and half ago... we finally went to get my social security card/number updated with my married name. Jeesh. We did some other running around and then headed for home.
Saturday I made a turkey and all the fixings. Mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese and green beans. PST came over to chow down on it with us. We watched Rush Hour 3 (yeah... shhhh!) and a few other movies. She left to pick up JST and Tink and headed to their mom's house for the night.
Sunday the girls (PST, JST, Tink) came over to open their Christmas presents. They got some pretty practical items for the most part and then some slippers with some sparkles on them. We hung out and had chicken and pizza for dinner... ends up the roads got kinda bad so they stayed the night! It was pretty fun. We watched movie after movie after movie.
Monday, Christmas Eve, the girls left in too big of a rush forgetting a few items. Jerome called but ended up taking the stuff over to them. After he returned we took a short nap and then got up and got ready to pick Anna up from work. We hung out with her and her family eating some tasty ham! We headed for home and Jerome managed to fall asleep on the couch within about 15 minuets. I've sent him off to bed and then jumped online to see that no one in my Yahoo Messenger group was online.

Swamped... in more ways than one...
Sorry for those of you who are concerned! Everything is fine... for the most part.
Swamp #1 - We were out of town Aug 31- Sept 10. We went down to Mississippi and Louisianian - swampland :) We were visiting Jerome's family - Grandmothers, Aunts, Uncles, Sisters, Brother, Mother, Father, Niece, and Nephews... and then some... as we had also attended another family reunion while we were there.
I finally can say that I have been to New Orleans. Although, I have heard how impressed the Monty Crew is with the city ( so much so that they honeymooned there) I can't say I was too impressed. Now, after speaking with Linda (a co-worker of mine of 5 years) I find out that I would have been more impressed had we been there at night. True, I hit Canal and Bourbon Street in daylight. I honestly thought it was just like any other city. I missed the night life, the people in the streets, the stumbling drunkenness in the streets, the performers. All of it. Guess I'll have to go again-this time at night :)
Swamp #2 - Since my return from my vacation I have been swamped at work. I've got a few big projects all full steam ahead and will wrap up come October 5th.... and the system that I work on has been broken for the past week... not good. Sorry for those co-workers that I may have chewed their head off and then spit it right back out. Honestly.
Swamp #3 - Today we had a bit of a down pour here. And when I say a bit I mean holy crap! The window wells filled up - and yes, we do have window well covers over them!!!! So I went outside - in the rain and scooped water out of the well with a pitcher into a bucket that I then slung over the fence to the front yard. JEEEEZE! We have had enough of what damage can happen when it rains. Between the power outages, the trees uprooting, and now this. Enough.
So yes, we are live... just... swamped :)

Office Bathrooms...
For those of you who work in large office buildings you may relate to this or I may just be one very odd person... for those of you who don't, think about it next time you are in a public restroom - think Target!
Are you ever surprised by how much one woman can pee? I swear that some of the women on my floor are going to have bladder issues if they don't already. Lately I've noticed that when ever I happen to be in there that the person in the stall next to me is peeing like a mad woman. How long have they been holding it to have that much pee???? And I swear they must be hanging onto the ceiling instead of sitting on the pot since it sounds like an avalanche!
I don't get it.
If you're leaving something behind in the pot you're nasty. Take two more seconds and make sure all of your stuff goes down... am I the only one who does this??? Like I want anyone seeing what I'm leaving behind... NASTY. Re-flush... it happens to all of us.
And don't even get me started on the tinkle drippers and hair shedders.... just wipe it up - GROSS.

A long weekend... finally!
So Jerome and I took off of work on Friday so that we could meet with our photographer back in "Sconnie". We left Thursday night and rolled into town around 9 or so.
Friday we met with that "fantastic" photographer... ughhh. Needless to say, it was irritating being there. I have the feeling that my tiny home town will soon have a life size mirrol of my husband on the walls of the local photography place just because he's not pasty white. Yup I said it. I also think that the reason why the lady is so short with us is because she really doesn't like the "idear" of us being married... me being of the pasty white variety. I also think that the actual photographer that we had was "building her portfolio" with Jerome's family... thus why we only had two pictures of our groomsmen with Jerome. Yup... I said it.... and I won't take it back unless I'm proven wrong.... but she was defiantly building her portfolio.... there is no way to deny that one.
After that we hung out at my Mom and Dad's and then headed over to The Monty Crews place. We were just in time to catch a glimpse of Mads... what a cutie pie. And of course Miles was trailing behind his Momma... I went inside to find little Dawson upset because everyone had left him. I picked him up and thought back to the last time I held him... met him. He was a "fresh, new baby"... only about a week or two old when The Monty's came to visit us and head to a concert while Jerome and I babysat the kidlets. He's so big!
While we were there Susha asked if I would be Delaney's "fairy godmother"... I mean God Mother. Of course I said yes and will try my best to fulfill my required duties of being at as many events as I can.... wooohooo... God Baby # 3!!!!
Momma Monty (Trisha) and Papa Monty (Andy) along with Miles and Dawson went with Jerome and I to take in some wings at The Bar. It was Double Bubble so there was some great Margaritas for Jerome and I. Then we headed to a cute little coffee shop where a friend of the Monty's had a gig. We ended up back at their house and watched a movie and then left out.
Saturday we hung around Mom and Dad's and visited with my sister and her family. That night Mom, PJM and I played a fun game of Triple Solitaire while Jerome watched some crazy shows... maybe they weren't crazy but the sounds of them sure were since we couldn't take our eyes off the board in fear of loosing!
Sunday we headed back home. It was nice to be back home. I worked in the garage a bit to get ready for the garage sale that is quickly approaching. I priced some stuff... and still have two or three boxes yet to price that is out in the garage. We were planning on seeing Pirates while we were out of town and didn't get around to doing that.
Monday we went to Anna's for a BBQ in the afternoon. We decided we would go see Pirates for a matinee and left. I asked Jerome if he thought JST would like to go and he thought she may. We headed over to see if she wanted to go... but then our plans were changed when she stepped out of the door. Oh what a belly she is getting! We had to take her to buy some clothes that would cover her expanding baby belly... so still no pirates. We headed home and thought about what we would do for dinner.
Lisa called me and asked if we wanted to come over for a BBQ that she and her soon to be hubby (in 4 count them 4 days) we starting. But of course! The only thing was that I had to work on Tuesday as did she. We ended up not leaving their house until way past my bed time for a "school" night. Boy was I tired this morning.... so tired that I had to crawl my butt back into bed for two more hours before heading to work after I sent an email to my co-workers. Ugh.
This week I've got a few things that I need to accomplish:
Friday we met with that "fantastic" photographer... ughhh. Needless to say, it was irritating being there. I have the feeling that my tiny home town will soon have a life size mirrol of my husband on the walls of the local photography place just because he's not pasty white. Yup I said it. I also think that the reason why the lady is so short with us is because she really doesn't like the "idear" of us being married... me being of the pasty white variety. I also think that the actual photographer that we had was "building her portfolio" with Jerome's family... thus why we only had two pictures of our groomsmen with Jerome. Yup... I said it.... and I won't take it back unless I'm proven wrong.... but she was defiantly building her portfolio.... there is no way to deny that one.
After that we hung out at my Mom and Dad's and then headed over to The Monty Crews place. We were just in time to catch a glimpse of Mads... what a cutie pie. And of course Miles was trailing behind his Momma... I went inside to find little Dawson upset because everyone had left him. I picked him up and thought back to the last time I held him... met him. He was a "fresh, new baby"... only about a week or two old when The Monty's came to visit us and head to a concert while Jerome and I babysat the kidlets. He's so big!
While we were there Susha asked if I would be Delaney's "fairy godmother"... I mean God Mother. Of course I said yes and will try my best to fulfill my required duties of being at as many events as I can.... wooohooo... God Baby # 3!!!!
Momma Monty (Trisha) and Papa Monty (Andy) along with Miles and Dawson went with Jerome and I to take in some wings at The Bar. It was Double Bubble so there was some great Margaritas for Jerome and I. Then we headed to a cute little coffee shop where a friend of the Monty's had a gig. We ended up back at their house and watched a movie and then left out.
Saturday we hung around Mom and Dad's and visited with my sister and her family. That night Mom, PJM and I played a fun game of Triple Solitaire while Jerome watched some crazy shows... maybe they weren't crazy but the sounds of them sure were since we couldn't take our eyes off the board in fear of loosing!
Sunday we headed back home. It was nice to be back home. I worked in the garage a bit to get ready for the garage sale that is quickly approaching. I priced some stuff... and still have two or three boxes yet to price that is out in the garage. We were planning on seeing Pirates while we were out of town and didn't get around to doing that.
Monday we went to Anna's for a BBQ in the afternoon. We decided we would go see Pirates for a matinee and left. I asked Jerome if he thought JST would like to go and he thought she may. We headed over to see if she wanted to go... but then our plans were changed when she stepped out of the door. Oh what a belly she is getting! We had to take her to buy some clothes that would cover her expanding baby belly... so still no pirates. We headed home and thought about what we would do for dinner.
Lisa called me and asked if we wanted to come over for a BBQ that she and her soon to be hubby (in 4 count them 4 days) we starting. But of course! - I need to get my "bridal emergency bag" together... you know all the possible things that could go wrong which hopefully never do on the wedding day... nail polish, sewing kit, band aids, etc etc since Lisa and Rod's wedding is this weekend.
- Write my Matron of Honor toast... yep... just like when I had a report due for school... waiting till the very last minuet!
- Pedicure with my Hubby on Friday
- Get Jerome's suit all set once he finds all the pieces
- Get all of my items ready for the wedding

This weekend
We’re heading to Mom and Dad’s house for a quick get-a-way this weekend. We’ll be having a meeting with our photographer from our wedding so that we can finally order our photos. That reminds me, I need to write on the back of the photos that are for multiple sizes. Dang it…. Guess I’ll do that in the car ride there!
Wisconsin curds. Perhaps I’ll even bring some back to share with my work buddies… we shall see!

Last Two Weeks at a Glance
Wednesday was Administrative Professionals Day... did you get your admin anything? I did. Leslie actually use to be my boss, and being that I use to be an admin I tend to show a lot of love to good admins.... she's the best. Unfortunately I couldn't find any chocolate fried pies for her, her favorite, but the search is on. Instead she got a Sam's Club chocolate bunt cake and some flowers. Needless to say, she felt the love.
Thursday was dumpster dive nite, round one. I picked up a few things but I am now in the search for specific things. I went out by myself and met up with Holly, Sheri and Sheri's mom. We had a blast as usual. Holly ended up leaving early while I helped Sheri and her mom fit everything into Sheri's car. Now mind you I was still in search of baby things... more to come soon, I promise. We ended up splitting up again and I found a great shelf unit 3 tier and plenty of other things.
Friday I left work early for an eye appointment. I was suppose to get my eyes dilated... but I had to have them do that next time since I HAD TO go dumpster diving with Jerome! I had to be able to see... jeeze! So we went out afterwards and checked things out. We found a bassinet which was the big hit item. We went home and picked up around the house since I found out that mom and dad were coming up for the weekend once I checked my email when we got home.
Saturday was Lisa's first bridal shower. She picked me up and we headed to Walgreen's to meet up with Rod's mom and sister. They followed us to the shower. It was pretty fun and yes, we played the orange game that we played at my bridal shower that she threw with Anna for me. We drove to my house and I called Jerome on the way. He was dropping off all these wonderful baby items to the "mommy to be" and was suppose to be back by 1:00 in case mom and dad arrived a little early. He wasn't there! Ughhh... So Lisa put the petal to the metal and we made it home all of 5 to 10 minuets before my parents arrived. She had planned to go on eBay at my house to order some petals for the center pieces... while we were online she noticed that she forgot shipping charges... she's double checking prices before we order them online.
FINALLY Jerome arrived and he could help him. Whew. They cut down two big branches that, when looking up from the ground didn't look so big... but once they came shooting down from the sky were plenty big and now our neighbor will have some firewood for her fireplace.
Once that part was done we started on the front lawn. Dad yanked out the Christmas tree that was hitting the underside of the house (eaves?) Mom and I and Jerome got to hacking at the shrubs in the front also. We cleaned everything up with the blower and were going to get dinner going, or so I thought. Mom and I had gone into the garage to put the blower away and I showed her the edger that I had found while dumpster diving. She told me to bring it out to the front yard to see if it worked. Well it did. So now I guess we are keeping it!
Sunday Dad and Jerome installed our "new to us" stove... it's electric instead of gas. So they had to cap the gas line and install some sort of a plug and wire it all to the box which if you know my house is waaaaaay on the other end of the house from the kitchen. Mom and I worked on transplanting the hostas and ran to a few stores looking at plants to put in place of the Christmas tree... I'm thinking a flowering plant or bush. Anyone have anything they want to get rid of???? We started my garden - two pepper plants. Mom raked it and I put up the wire fencing that I picked up while dumpster diving this year.
We grilled out for the first time this year on Sunday as well. We ate outside on the deck and kicked back with a few beers. Jerome and I had to work on Monday and that's when Mom and Dad were leaving. Of course when it came time for me to get up and get moving I didn't want to. Plus, Mom and Dad were still at the house. So, I took a 1/2 day - took a nap in the morning and got my hair cut and then worked from home in the afternoon.
Tuesday I had a taste test in St. Paul. Funny thing is, when I got there I was told that they had ran out of testing items so they gave me my $30 check and I was on my way. Wooo hoo! Now if that wasn't the easiest $30 I ever made! I hung out with Lisa afterwards and did some wedding shopping with her. I picked up some Hickory Hut wings, okra, and Hojos. YUM-O!
Wednesday we set out our stuff for our dumpster day pick up which is this Saturday. We bundled the rest of the tree limbs together with the handy dandy rope that I picked up while dumpster diving.

Lisa left once mom and dad arrived. Dad started pulling things off and out of the truck. The new truck, and unfortunately got new scratches in the bed of the truck from something that had been shifting on their drive into the cities. Sad! Then it started. Dad propped up the ladder in the tree. It swayed and swayed as he getting it in the air. I was sure he was going to hit the power line. He managed to get it right next to the power line, I squealed. I hate power lines, phone lines, electric lines of any sort. I told him it was nice knowing him as he climbed the ladder. Ugh it made me sick. He so stubborn, guess that's where I get it from as Jerome would say. Mom and I just looked up at him as he took a rope up the ladder to tie around the branch.

Where oh where I have I been?
Well in blogland it seems like I haven't posted forever. Nuff said.
Last Friday Jerome had off from work and met me for lunch at work. It was nice to have lunch with him and my co-worker Linda. We chatted and he was on his way after that to cash a check for me and run to St. Paul to see JST.
I stayed at work and had a happy hour to go to afterwards. Oh did $h!# hit the fan there. I won't and can't go into details... let's just say people were voicing their opinions regarding their former employers. Oye!
After that I went and picked up my nifty new phone. It's pretty awesome.... so awesome in fact that once Jerome saw it he wanted to trade his in for mine. Copy cat!
Saturday we woke up and went for breakfast at the bagel joint right by the Sprint store. After breakfast we headed over to the store to exchange Jerome's phone for the one that I got the previous day. The little stinker got his mail in rebate processed in the store because he was trading his new phone in for a different one... I on the other hand will have to wait 4-6 weeks for mine to process. The nerve.
We headed home and decided that we needed to get some boards for under our bed... there were three slats under our bed...but it didn't seem sturdy enough to me. We measured everything and got some 2x4s. While we were on our way into Home Depot I called Lisa asking what she and Rod were up to... they were at an auction... Jerome and I weren't going to be long in Home Depot and said we would shoot over there since we were bored.
Lisa called back as we were leaving letting me know that the auction was actually over... but we ended up going to their house to hang out instead. The four of us played a game of spades... Jerome and I lost the first round. We decided we were hungry and headed to Friday's for some dinner.
We hung out in the bar for a bit until we were seated. There were a few exciting moments - the bible championship team was there taking up about 10 tables, us scarfing down appetizers in a record time, and a close call with flying hair. We wrapped up and quickly headed out of the restaurant as we were stuffed and overheated.
We headed back to Lisa and Rod's for round two of Spades... which... I and Jerome won... and it was a very close game... of course we had to play a tie breaker. We were at a point where we were tied and called it quits. Jerome has seen how competitive my family gets regarding card games... we learned it from my mom... what can I say?!?!!? He knew if we lost the tie breaker he would have a not so happy wife.... needless to say we packed up and went home.
Sunday we didn't do much... in fact I took about a four hour long nap after breakfast just to get up and eat lunch... just to watch Desperate Housewives and head back to bed!
Monday I was back at work... Jerome had President's Day off due to working for the bank. Ughhh. I really hate to get up with him still in bed asleep... I don't know how he does it every day!
He didn't meet up with me for lunch, but when I got home dinner was made, nice music was playing and the dishes were done. Awwww :) We then went to my all time favorite.... Target! Yup... he went with, didn't complain the whole time about being there, and even pushed the cart the whole time. (THANKS Sweetie!) It was a nice surprise. We came home and worked on bills (stupid Direct TV has been charging us over for the past two months - or so we thought - our "introductory price" is over and now have to pay the real price or change plans.... ummm we will change plans of course (no more 87 channels of sports - sorry guys!)) and then headed to bed.
Today we both went to work... but of course Jerome didn't make a full work day yet this week! He was off to the dentist in the afternoon for a teeth cleaning. What a work week!
I headed to another happy hour, jeeze I sound like a lush! This time though it was at Friday's with a different department that I have a few friends in. We hung out... I ordered dinner to go for Jerome and I. Once it arrived I was outta there and headed home.
So far, I've tried to fix the freakin header for this here blog... still isn't right, ate dinner, read a new Star mag that came in the mail (all about Anna Nicole Smith mind you), closed a Pampered Chef show, talked on the phone to an old co-worker about the Friday happy hour and wrote this really long post.

Just when you think you are under the radar...
So I work for this big company.... that I can't name or really even talk about. Needless to say, I'm pretty low profile here. I keep my nose clean and stay to myself and my team for the most part.
Well the other day we were in Home Depot when someone who works on my floor walked into the paint section. I noticed him... thinking hummm he doesn't have a clue we work on the same floor. He was there with a very pregnant female... I would assume his wife. I don't know him... so it could be just a friend... who knows.
Well today at work I'm standing my the microwave with Nicole and he walks through and asks if I figured out my paint situation! I'm not as undercover as I thought!

My Psychic Friends Network said...
a lot of things last night. Oh let me start over.
Last night an old co-worker of mine was having a happy hour birthday party for herself on Grand Ave in St. Paul. Jerome and I were invited so off we went for free appetizers of chicken wings, coconut shrimp and some sort of fungus on bread (mushrooms) and of course a few drinks.
We weren't there long before my co-worker Donna and shortly there after Nicole showed up. We all were at a table gabbing.
Alex, the birthday girl had a psychic there reading people. Of course I wanted a reading and thought Jerome should have one too! When she came around I took her up on the offer to read me.
We went and sat just off of the part at a small table for two across from each other. She asked me my full name and full birth date. I told her my name and birth date. She rubbed her hands together and pondered a bit.
She told me a few things that were totally true... The last year and half has been rough. (Really... can you say the wedding from h-e-double hockey sticks?) And that I have to have everything just right. Just perfect. (I was thinking can you say OCD?) That I need to have things done in a proper way and if they aren't I get angry. (True.)
She told me that I need to let it go... just a little. That I've become too strict on things and it's bringing me down a little. (Okay... sure.)
She said some things about friends who may not really be true friends...(acquaintances) and that they are causing some of this. And that I should cut my ties to them. (Hummm... who's doing this... step up!)
Then she told me to ask her anything.
Ummm... when will I have a baby?
She told me that I need to go to the doctor. I may have a medical condition, that is okay and "fixable" but needs to be taken care of before I will get pregnant. (Yes, it is time for my annual appointment. Guess I best schedule that!) She also said that I may end up having a miscarriage at some point, but I either won't know that I'm even pregnant or I won't be far a long - and stressed that it would not be "a few month" pregnant and have this happened. She did also say I will have a baby within the next year. (Hummm... okay :) ) She had said all she could about the topic and asked if there was anything else.
I guess I should ask about my job shouldn't I?
Your job is your job. You like it... but are getting a little bored. Being that you are getting a little bored you are making things more streamlined for yourself. Being organized. (Sure am! Can we say Implementation Guide for new sites, oh wait I can't talk about work on my blog!) Some people love what you are doing while others are pissed about it. (Her words, not mine) Some people were hoping to get the credit for it and you have burned some bridges. You don't need to build those bridges back up but be aware that they are burned and you won't be able to turn to them for help. You'll be there a good while but in two years you'll start looking for something more. Anything else?

One less...
So last night myself and few of my co-workers went out to the near by "pub" to chat it up with a co-worker who well... ummm... Oh I'm gonna miss her!I don't know all the details... and I'm cool with that. I hate to see people move on to "bigger and better things" since I'm not a lover of change.
Anyways... I will now be "Kim" at work rather than Kim T., Chef Kim, or Web Kim.
I took a few photos while we were there... but of course I didn't ask permission to post them. SHOOT! So you get just one of me, demonstrating how I got really good at take self photos on our honeymoon.

Over Time Anyone?
So tonight the company that I work for, (no I can't name them it's against one of our many HR policies) had their website updated. Now for most of you, you may think that's got to be pretty easy. Well it's not. It's an orchestrated event... not a well orchestrated... but orchestrated none the less.What happens that us good ol web peoples are told by the bigger web people that all of the items that we've been working on for let's just say the past month can now be put on the live site. Mind you some people don't keep a list of what hasn't been put on the live site yet of the work they've done... but those of you that know me well know I'm a lister. I list everything... either in my brain or on paper even in my email. Lists are your friends. They help things go smoother.
So I thought.
So tonight the launch was to start around 6:30 we thought. Which when loggin in I found an email letting me know I could start "launching" my pages. Fine and good. I go down the list of page numbers that I've created, enter the number, click launch. Then I start to work on a few links that I couldn't change until my part of launching pages was done. Something tells me to look at the pages I launched to make sure everything is honky dory... ughhhhh.
Dead halt. Hold up... everything is wacked out!
I email my contacts and ask them what's going on. Ends up that a file wasn't deployed. Basically what that means is that everything I just launched so nice a quickly has now mucked up any pages that I updated. Shoot!
Okay... we can get that fixed. Whew. In the mean time I will go and work on my links that need updating, at least I wasn't wasting time, right! Well that was easier said than done. Ends up that when I am remote connecting to my computer at work from home to "double click" on something to open it doesn't work... you got it... I've got to right click and select open on each and every item that I am updating. Pain. Well this is still a problem because I can't technically "select" a PDF without opening it.
I call into a trusty know it all. She figures it out within a few minuets of trying things. Whew! Great I'm on a roll again. Go go go. Done with the links.
I get an email to check the pages that were new to see if things are working now. I get to checking and everything is working great. Yeah... I see the light at the end of the tunnel!
I wrapped up at 8:20 p.m. Guess I'll be leaving work early tomorrow by at least an hour if not more! Yippy!

Back to work...
Ughhh.
Today is my first day back to work after my five day holiday/pto/vacation.
It's got to be time for egg nog or a nap or a peanut cluster or something. It's not time to work, be asked about how my holiday was, or enter any content for my works website!

Will it ever be 4:30?
Today is like the day that will never end... ughhhh I swear at 10:20 a.m. I was thinking it had to be 2 pm... and now it's even getting kinda dark. Ughhhhh
Mom and Dad are coming up today and hanging out for a bit. They will check out the work in the basement and I guess fix a few things around the house that we don't have the tools for. Yeah :)
