Ugh. Pork Chop goes crazy whenever this commercial comes on. He runs to the door to see who is setting their alarm on their car in our driveway. Even if he is in another room. And when he is in a deep sleep. Each and every time.
Such a good guard dog :)

I tried snapping another picture of him the other day when he was sitting in one of the chairs. He was sitting straight up like a human... like on his butt. Just looking at me. I laughed again. Grabbed the camera... but it was too late he turned away.

My poor baby "it"...
Well Porky got fixed this past Tuesday. He's had a cone on ever since - only taking it off to go out side on a leash to do his business. The poor thing is so pitiful.

Big Boy Now...
Well... it seems like Pork Chop wants to be a big boy. While we were out of town this weekend our dear Pork Chop was able to roam the room at night instead of going in his crate.
The first night was rough. He didn't sleep... at all.
The 2nd night... he was fantastic! He slept... he didn't bug me or Jerome. He was a good boy.
We came home the 3rd night and he was one tuckered pup from the weekend. He was sprawled out on the living room floor around 8pm. He usually is taken down to the basement around 9:30pm for bed... but... we decided to try it again. We blocked off the room so that he only could be in the living room. He slept like a champ.
Last night... we again let him be able to roam the room for the night. He had the living room and the kitchen. He was pretty good, even though he woke up at 5am and wouldn't really go back to sleep - Jerome usually gets up at 5:30am with him anyways.
He's really becoming a little dog... no longer a pup. Sniff sniff... my little pup turns one next month!

Life is boring...
I'd love to say that I've been busy traveling the world... but no... I've been sitting in the house, sitting at work, and just breathing. I wish I had stuff to update people on... you really don't want to know that I made tacos last night for dinner. Or that Pork Chop got another hair cut from me. Ugh.
I say wait for October... I'll have some adventures to share in October, I promise.
Here's something... (I love when I start writing a post about nothing going on and then poof... there's a topic). I've met some new friends.
Yep... me.. a 30 year old, not in school, and these people I do not work with. I met new friends. It's great. True... we met over the Internet and are all tied together by NKOTB. Yeah yeah yeah... there's that part.
But, honestly there are a few of these girlies who I definitely will be keeping in contact with after all the concerts. I hope to get the girlies along with their significant others together with Jerome and I so he can feel them out and hopefully we can have a few new couple friends :) Ohhhh that would be nice! Not that I don't love the few couple friends we have... but I want more!

For Trisha...
So apparently I don't post enough for Trisha to feel like I'm alive. We are alive. I don't feel like we have anything "spectacular" going on. We're getting ready to officially purchase the house from my parents... we are working on numbers but are already approved :)
The dog has been a bear lately. Since we picked him up from the vet from when we were out of town he hasn't been sleeping thru the night. Ugh. He's been barking like crazy when we leave him in his cage. It's not good. We think he's pissed at us for leaving him so now when we leave him and go to bed he freaks out. We've tried bringing the crate in our room... that didn't work that night... I think he wants to just be out of his crate. So... last night we left him in the kitchen with the gates up. Sure there was some barking but he got over it. We will see how it works tonight.
Yes, NKOTB are coming to the Mall here. I'm excited. I'm going... of course. I'll be taking pictures and video as much as I can. I will not give any "good" details about it until after it has happened... sorry Trish... I can't risk people knowing what I know and the group of BlockHeads that I have found here in Minnesota know. Let's just say... connections are there and we are trying our best to keep our cool. They'll be here 08-08-08.... so look for a post about that shortly after either here or at www.returnofnkotb.blogspot.com!

We need to fix the fence in the back yard. Since I got a little extra money this month for doing some consumer surveys perhaps I'll put that money towards that. Gosh I love getting money for my opinions. ANY COMPANY THAT WANTS MY OPINION CONTACT ME! I'll be honest and tell you exactly how I feel about your product. I love it. I enjoy it. I want more of it.

First Car Trip
We took Pork Chop on his first long car trip two weekends ago. We headed over to Wisconsin to visit my parents and The Monty Crew with him in toe. Yes... it was a pain. On the way there he got the shakes... we stopped... he peed. We got back in the car and started again... more shakes... ughhh... Stopped down the road a bit and he went #2. Alright... on the way home though... he was perfect. Not a bark, whine, shake, nothing. Our baby was tuckered out I think as he slept the whole way in the crook of my arm. So sweet.

Honestly... nothing
Nothing much is going on... I know... pitiful.
We're getting ready to head south for Jerome's family reunion. We being myself and Jerome and his girls PST and JST and Tinker. A full carload going down. Yes, we are driving. So I know once I return there will be things to post! Pork Chop isn't attending the reunion with us though... he's going to be safe and sound at his vets boarding facility.
I worked outside a bit this weekend, cleaning gutters and such. I didn't get around to trimming the bushes.
We've finally met our backyard neighbor, a single woman who adores Pork Chop. Her daughter and son-in-law and brand new grand-baby have moved in with her while they search for a house in the area. Come to find out they have a pup that is Pork Chops new friend. They play in the backyard chasing each other along the fence. It's pretty cute.
Tomorrow my team will move to a different floor - not the entire department... just my team :( Sad. I'll still have a window view from cubeland and will even face the window this time. That's about the only selling point.

Guess who...
Guess who turned 7 months old without us noticing?
You guessed it... PORK CHOP. Yesterday he turned 7 months old.
He's getting to be such a big boy now. He's defiantly a guard dog - always listening to everything outside and barking when something just isn't right. He's sitting and laying down on command. Since we've put up our temporary fence he hasn't tried to run away or jump it... knowing that he could jump it if he wanted to from being at Lisa's house.
He's been being a picky eater lately... so we switched him back to BillJac food from the Blue Buffalo food that he use to love. I guess if I had to eat the same thing day in and day out I'd get tired of it too. He defiantly knows where his treats are and let's us know when he wants one. Thank goodness he knows that he has to do something to receive it though.
We gave him a haircut a few weeks ago - a good once over. He looked very silly in his face for a week or so... guess I cut too much off. But now it's growing back and needs a little trimming here and there.
We haven't gone to get him fixed yet... but we will... sooner or later.
I'll take some pictures of him and be sure to post them here.

Where I have I been? NKOTB-ville
Yeah We've been gone a long time... but we back we back we back. (Oh wait a sec... that was a NKOTB song!)
Yeah I've been totally slackin... I even wrote a post about slacking. I promise I will stop slacking because now all my concerts are set and ready for me to wait for. My tickets are bought, my travel arrangements are made, my hotels are booked. Everything. Yes, I'm going to a few shows... and yes... one I got tickets for is from my husband for my birthday. And yes, my birthday isn't until November but he loves me and new that this would make me a very happy lady! If anyone wants to give me my birthday present early the first show is Oct 4th! :)
A lot else has happened around here... where to start.
We built a fence to keep Pork Chop in the backyard - I need to take pictures but it works for now. It's all stuff we got while dumpster diving this past season. We got a gate and fence... for free.
Speaking of Pork Chop... he's six months old and is finally getting it. He's not barking in the morning. He's listening... he's even holding his bladder a little bit longer. Now I wouldn't say that he's been a perfect angel... he's had some issues but he's getting much better. We even gave him a haircut the other day.
I attempted to plant some herbs and even some strawberries too. But, with all the storms we've been having with tornadoes, hail and heavy rains everything is so water logged that I don't think it will survive. The rhubarb even looks like it's seen better days.
I'm looking into having a garage sale in a couple of weeks. If anyone has anything to sell let me know. I need to get everything set up in the garage and price everything that I didn't have out last year.
Hummmmm.... gosh that is not interesting at all. Sorry everyone... I promise.... I'll get back into the swing of things soon!
