Dealio's Deal

If you see me around town I'll probably be toting this here bag around with me.  Yup... you got it... my coupon bag.  Isn't she a beaut?!?!  It's from Land's End and is the medium sized long handled tote.  I absolutely love it!

It's the perfect size for placing my ever expanding and no longer zipping Penny in along with a reusable bag or two and my wallet.  The extra long strap/handle makes it easy to swing onto my shoulder while carrying the rest of my purchases out to the car.

And the better thing was the price.  FREE!  Well... sort of.  Back in December I won a gift card for Lands End at a Twitter party.  I could have purchased it then... but instead opted for items in the Lands End Outlet near me.  I had a few bucks leftover, and well it went towards this. A few extra bucks and poof... it's all mine!

Freebies Galor!

So I wasn't going to post about this and then I thought... why the heck not!

Two nights this week we had a free dinner.  Not just one of us... both of us.  I got coupons from Crowdcut for free Hoagies at Davanni's.  So delicious.  I've never had one from there... we usually get a pizza or the garlic cheese bread from there.  These were... oh my... my mouth is watering!  So, for two nights this week we had free hoagies.

Then tonight we had Chipotle... and yes, I had a coupon for that too... not as good as a deal but it was BOGO! I love free food!

I sign up for a ton of freebies, coupons, etc and I thought this year I would like to track just what it is that I get for free.  So... here's my plan (maybe it's a New Year's resolution?) I plan to take a photo of what I've received in my mailbox each week... mind you you won't be seeing my bills or personal mail or anything like that... just my freebies.

I love getting good mail!  Especially when it's delivered to me by the big brown UPS truck :)  Can't wait to try these out and too boot they were free!

Chunky Bling

So while doing my usual freebie surfing today, I came across a post from Free Sample Freak that told me about this freebie! If I blog about this company they will give me a Swarovski Crystal Ring for FREE!

She stated that there was this jewelry website called ChunkyBling.com. I've never heard of this site but they specialize in interchangeable beaded watches, chunky jewelry like bracelets, rings, and interchangeable charm necklaces.

I checked out thier site and it's got some pretty cute stuff and the price is great too! They even have where you can host an online jewelry party to earn a FREE jewelry just like Pampered Chef or Tupperware.

So today JT and I headed over to Ihop for 3 free pancakes each for National Pancake Day. Yup... you heard that right... FREE. They had Channel 9 News there... we're hoping we didn't make the cut. They were there because Miss Minnesota was there... but she wasn't eating pancakes.

The other week we headed to Denny's for a free Grand Slam (pancakes, bacon, eggs). I must say... Denny's was the much better deal and a much better experience. No news people, no chicks in crowns, warmer food, not to mention better food and a cheaper bill.

I'm kinda surprised at all the freebies I've been finding lately. Facebook keeps me on my toes and I try to alert my friends... now if they appreciate it or not I'm not sure... but I hope someone does!

Yesterday when I went to Target I had a stack of coupons to use... anything from a free bottle of International Delight Coffee Creamer to $4 off a DiGiorno pizza and everything in between. When my total rang up and I saw a $35 savings I was pretty pleased at myself for cutting and hunting for those coupons.

This Friday I'll be trying my hand at Let's Dish. We received a gift certificate from my family to help with some meals while the hubs is on the mend from surgery. Should be interesting to go and prep it and then take it home and toss in the freezer till we're ready to eat it. We have a friend of a friend who is a manager at the location where we are going... hopefully she will give us some tips since she already gave us a hook up on a great coupon :) Thanks Cheri!

Paying it Forward...

So it's not often that people do something nice for a stranger. Well... I was that nice person... not once... but twice yesterday.

So as I mentioned on Facebook if anyone eats at Boston Market to let me know because I had a deal for you. Well the only response I got wasn't valid because of where they lived. Ugh. So here I sat with a bunch of coupons... and no one to give them to.

Jerome and I went to Boston Market for dinner last night... do you see where this is going? Well I had a bunch of $3 off coupons and a bunch of free cupcake coupons when you purchase a meal. Great deal, right! Well I also had a coupon for a complimentary meal. Sweet! So there we were... standing in line... debating on what to get since both of us have only ate there once together... and I'm pretty sure that's the only time I had ever been there. The great debate.

Anyways... there were these two ladies standing in front of us debating as well. I told them... let me make it a little more confusing and give you some coupons. Little did I know that I just handed them my complimentary meal coupon instead of my intended $3 off coupon along with two free cupcake coupons. They were appreciative and went to sit down at a table to discuss now because of these fantastic coupons.

Jerome and I went thru the line and were at the checkout. WHAT THE?!?!?! Yeah... this is when I noticed what I did. I was okay with it though and went on to pay a whole $3 for my meal that included a cupcake! We sat down and Jerome said, "You didn't get anything to drink". Shoot.

Apparently I was really thrown off by not having my coupon that I spaced the drinks. Back up to the counter I went for some water cups and all was good. I saw out of the corner of my eye that the ladies who were sitting down with my coupons got up to make their purchases. I asked Jerome what they got since I didn't want to turn around and look.

We finished our meal and I moved onto my chocolate goodness. This cupcake was divine! Although, there was a little audience next to me eyeing it up as well. A little girl and her mom had finished their meals and we chatting about her day at school. Her eyes loved the site of my cupcake... but I wasn't about to give it up. Instead as we left I pulled out two more coupons for free cupcakes and asked if they came to Boston Market often. Mom agreed that they did and I told her next time... get a free cupcake for you and your daughter. The little girls eyes light up so big.

Four happy people. One warm heart and all at the cost of nothing!

Why is my blog different than all of those "free sample" websites you find across the web? Because I focus on the best of the offers available, those things that I am interested in and that I think other moms would be interested in too. I try to weed through the offers for you. For example, I often find free sample offers from companies that I have not heard of before. So I request the sample, wait to receive it, then tell you about it. I do not post free sample offers that require jumping through any hoops.
