I just don't know where the time has gone... oh wait... yes I do... stupid Facebook. Yeah... I'm addicted.

Let's catch up.

First off...


Yep... My niece turned double digits last year and well.. she's only two more years away from being a TEENAGER! Holy cow lady... slow down!

Jerome and I had a pretty successful garage sale again this year. We were open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8am - 5pm and then on Sunday we were open till noon and had most items at 1/2 price. It was pretty slow Saturday and almost dead on Sunday. Thursday was SUPER busy. Seriously I had MAYBE 5 minuets when someone wasn't on our property. And those 5 minuets were stretched out with 30 seconds here and a minuet there. Not 5 back to back minuets. Crazy... and because of that our biggest selling day.

I had a few families bring stuff over for us to sell as well... Micaela from Striving Green along with her mom, Linda and Amy, Lisa, and my fellow blockhead Tiff.

We sold so much stuff from dumpster diving. I just don't get why people throw this stuff out there for me to pick up, but I'm not complaining. Keep doing it... I'll keep making money off of you people! :) Here's some pics from the sale, holy cow there was a ton of stuff:

With our new found cash we purchased a new digital camera. After all the concerts this year our Kodak camera was starting to die. Buttons were no longer working, the rechargeable and pretty expensive batteries weren't keeping long charges any more, and well it was old. It was great when it was brand new, but I've learned a few photography things since having it and it's not functioning to the best of my abilities, so time for an upgrade.

We ended up with this, a Canon PowerShot SX110 IS. I haven't had the chance to really play with it yet except at the store and a few shots of Pork Chop at home.

I will be giving it a good work out very soon though. The rest of our sale money is taking us to Jerome's annual family reunion. Yep, it's that time of the year again. This year it's being held in the home state of the family. Should be hot, humid, but fun as always.

Jerome and I will be spending a night in the French Quarter so I can stop complaining that I've never been to New Orleans. I'm hoping to do some fantastic people watching, drink a Hurricane at Pat O'Breins, take a guided tour of the city to see all the hot spots and architecture. My excitement is being held back a little but, I can not wait to since my teeth in to a shrimp Po'Boy and some Beignets from Cafe Du Monde. Yum-o!

We'll also be attending the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. We'll be going with Jerome's parents, his two sisters and their families. Beyonce, John Legend, Salt and Pepa, and Neyo you better watch out for us!




What else? Well we've been taking in a ton of movies for free. I'm not talking like renting a DVD... an actual movie in the theatre. The Hangover, My Life in Ruins, The Proposal, Phalem 1, 2, 3, Imagine That, Terminator just to name a few. Some good, some bad, only one had me crying, smiling and everything in between and that was The Proposal. Go see it.

Whew!

So it's been a little crazy in our house. Last weekend I was in a mood and didn't want to do a dang thing... which ended up meaning that I'm glad I took Monday off to get ready for my cross state trip to my 6th NKOTB show in my life, yes I'm including Mall of America in there.

Monday I crafted, burnt myself, fancied up a Cheesehead and packed myself for the over night adventure. I went with a few girls from MN meeting up with Trisha and a few other people I know from both MN and WI at the show. I won't go into details about the show... you'll have to go to my new "site" (still a blog... but who's counting here?) : www.returnofnkotb.com. Yup... I bought the url thanks to Go Daddy having a sale!

Of course I want to wish my little niece a Happy Birthday!



And ends up I didn't post one for my other niece because she was at my house just before it to celebrate with us... so...



Don't forget next week dumpster diving season starts... I'm soooo excited!

This here little blog has gone on for three straight years today... some times it wasn't updated as often as I wanted it, other times it was updated often enough for others... but right now... I think it's juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust right.

I've come to the conclusion that anything and everything can and or should be discussed. Here's to the first three years and here's to many more!

Wow... one year has flew past yet again. Happy 1st Birthday Laney! Wish I could come and be there with you on your special day... sorry I can't. But I will see you in October, and then later in October I'm meeting up with your mama for a mama night out.

Anniversary, Birthdays and NYC... woops

So I just realized I didn't do the Happy Anniversary for my sister TJT and her hubby JT. I happened to call while they were at their anniversary dinner and chatter it up with ALT for a bit.

Then I forgot to post a cake for my dad's birthday... JEEZE...


And today is my mom's birthday... Happy Birthday MOM :)

I won VIP tickets to see NKOTB in New York while they were no the Today Show... I'm honestly glad I didn't spend the money to go because the show was canceled this morning. Why you ask... well there is this hurricane Gustav heading into Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

Yep... Katrina's got cousins.... lol. We've talked to some of Jerome's family... I believe that they are all safe at this point in time.

Sorry it's been so long...

Well what really can happen in a week anyways... oh yeah... lots!

So our first full day of spring came and went... strange to me that it snowed like crazy that day. The proof is in the photos I guess...


Easter Sunday Jerome and I went to Lisa's mom's house for a ham lunch with Lisa's husband, Lisa's brother and her grandmother. It was good time... even though they were late as usual! Come on guys!

Pork Chop is growing by leaps and bounds. He went in for his boosters and rabies shots. He weighed in at 17.4 pounds! When Spike went in for his appointment he was only 14 even. I'd say we definitely got our Pork Chop!

That's about it... with the exception of one more thing...

A little late... but I wanted to wait for the party!

So on Saturday we woke up extra early and hopped into the truck. We left for Sconnie for Susha's 30th birthday bash. She actually turned on the 5th... so a bit belated... but not forgotten! We reached my sister PJM's house around noon or so I think. We hung out for a bit but then we were off to the cheese factory! Yes... I love cheese that much that I make a special trip to get fresh cheese when I can. (Hint for those co-workers of mine... cheese factory + this week is Kim's treat week = curds for everyone and more!)

When we finished there we went to my Grandma's apartment. We gave her her Christmas present from my sister's families and Jerome and I. She loved the idea of a gift certificate for the grocery store. We ate cheese curds and looked at pictures from our wedding together. I looked at the photos on her walls and saw one that is from when my Dad and his brother were really little... I laughed it was such a cute picture.

We wrapped up at Grandma's and headed back to PJM's house to change for the party. We met up with Susha, her hubby, her parents, her brother and wife and a few other folks at The Bar for wings and beers. We ended up staying there for the night, dancing the night away. There was even a Cougar (after consulting my Urban Dictionary though I found out that she was actually a Jaguar!) there who had some fun with one of the guys that was there for Susha's party!

We came home on Sunday and had Papa Murphy's Gourmet Chicken Garlic pizza. Ohhh so delicious! Tomatoes, onions, and grilled chicken in a white sauce with cheese.... Yummmy! Hope you had a good weekend!
