Katt and friends...

So Jerome and I were suppose to meet up with Lisa and Rod to go to dinner. We decided on going to Rock Bottom Brewery. I called and made reservations for four at 5:45pm. We were running late so I called them and told them to please hold our table... which they did.

Ends up that Lisa and Rod were running late too... so late that they didn't make it to dinner. We had the Buffalo wings - yum. Jerome had the Southwestern Shrimp and Chicken Fettuccine - dang good. This was actually what I was going to get, but then he said he wanted it... I let him have it! Instead, I had the Brewer's Club - turkey, ham, bacon with melted cheddar and Monterrey jack, tomato and lettuce on ciabatta bread. Delish too!

Rod and Lisa arrived as we were paying the bill... perfect timing. We headed to our seats in the State Theatre. We were in row Q... needless to say any seat in the State Theatre would be good... we were just in front of the balcony though. Lisa and I both made a remark that we felt like we were on a cruise ship at the nightly entertainment.

The show started late - a half hour. First was a male rapper who calls himself Klutch. He pretty much sucked since we were there for comedy... not a rap show.

Then there was another rapper. This one was female and calls herself Xplicit Lyric. She shouted out here myspace page and of course I caught it....

Then there were two female comedians. The first... I can't remember her name was HELL-ARI-OUS... so much so that Jerome had tears coming down! She had great "jokes". The other... was good... but she herself was funny... not really her jokes. Here's a YouTube video that I found of her and another. Here's one that I took with my camera phone.



There was a guy who was the introducer of all of these people and Katt Williams. He was alright too. Then... the big gun came out. He was pretty good. I was glad to see that he had a new "skit" instead of the ones that I've seen on DVD. Unfortunately he spent a ton of time on the election... here's a YouTube video of him doing a similar skit.

We left after the show for home... let the pup out and went to bed. The next day, Friday, we were going to be doing some running around and waiting for the Monty Crew to arrive.

Shoes...

So I got my wonderful present from Trisha last night in the mail... My black and white Adidas. Too bad the right shoe is definatly smaller than the left shoe. I called about an exchange. Too bad they already processed it as a return... thus I have to wait for the first pair to be credited back to my account and then purchase the new pair. The girl I talked to this morning tells me that she will note my account that I will recieve the same discount that I had on my initial order plus she will give me next day shipping :)
Wooo hooo... so next week... expect a happy post about my new shoes, I hope.

Oh how I miss this... honestly

Mr. Telephone Man...

Whoooo hooo! Mr. Telephone man came out today and fixed our line. He installed a new box on the outside of our house - making the interior one worthless. He also jimmied up the pole and took a look at what the other guy supposedly looked at while we had the blizzard going on.

Ends up that first guy didn't do a dang thing. Today's Telephone man went up and switched our pole all around. Guess we were sharing lines with our neighbors - which cause slow modems for me.

Now we've got piped in just fine. Everything is up and running and I suppose... it's time to cancel our home phone now. Well, not quite yet as I've already prepaid it for the rest of this month and next month.

On a side note: I never noticed New Edition using so much sign language until just now... holy cats!

Saturday night, Saturday nite...

Pam, I and the kids ran around Saturday morning, getting photos developed and running to the LandsEnd outlet store near my house while Jerome and Jaime worked on trying to lock down our wireless with no luck. They packed up and left just before lunch on Saturday. There was a mention of them heading to Taco Bell for lunch..... which had Jerome's tummy thinking about the same thing. He ended up seeing them there!

We hung out most of the day... I took a nice long nap. Jerome woke up at some point and went to St. Paul to pick up his youngest daughter, JST. She hung out with him until I woke up. I recall him saying something to me... but I didn't really know what he said while I was asleep... apparently he told me that she was there!?!?!?! We watch A Diary of a Mad Black Woman and then went to AppleBee's for dinner.

Jerome took her home while I ran to buy a new pair of pants since we were going out with Rod and Lisa. After all it was "Saturday night, Saturday night".

I had called Lisa on our way to dinner. She was going to be waking up Rod from his nap and then was going to call us back as to when they were planning to be down town. Well... we had dinner, I went shopping, Jerome dropped of his daughter, and drove back to Bloomington and we still hadn't heard anything. I thought "ta hell with it".... and decided I would rather go to bed than to be in a club for two hours and then hang out until the wee hours just so that I would then have to wake up in time to go to the painting class on Sunday.

So we didn't go.

A ways back I was asked who my favorite band was growing up. Well... I will admit it... and will stay true to the answer.
New Kids on the Block or NKOTB. I could go on and on and on about them. Back in the day that was all I could talk about.
